It was a recipe for disaster and Quentin knew it the day his wife brought home Bosco, a rescue pup from the shelter. Bosco was a mutt of undetermined origin but one thing was clear—he loved to feast on new plants, drip irrigation systems and outdoor lighting wires.
After unsuccessfully trying every solution short of returning Bosco, Quentin gave up. He spread cheap plants and irrigation hose within easy reach around the yard. Bosco quickly devoured two plants and some hose line before growing bored. Once it was clear that Quentin had surrendered, so did Bosco.
The war was over.
