This week’s story comes to you inspired by a prompt submitted by Chris J of Elgin, AZ It’s Always Great When the Kids Drop InSiblings Bill and Barb were home for the weekly family dinner. “I wish I could be generous like Bill,” Barb said. “He’s so giving. Not just to people he knows but even to casual acquaintances. He’s given the “miracle of life” to three girls he met on Tinder.” Bill smiled. “And I sure envy Barb’s creativity. She creates nonprofits and designs heart-wrenching sob stories that generate big donations. She’s too busy to move the money out of her personal accounts now, but she’ll probably get to it eventually.” Dad smiled. “Isn’t that great, Mom? They still support and encourage each other.” Prompt: Poisoning the well
Time For Yet Another Rotary GigBy the time you read this, I’ll probably be packing up and high-tailing it out of one of San Jose’s Rotary clubs after sharing my tales and books with them at a lunch meeting today. If all goes well, I’ll try to remember to have somebody take some pics so I can share visual evidence with you next week. I’m also working on getting a presentation together for a gig at the Monterey Library in October, and possibly one in Seaside also before the end of the year. That’ll do it for this week’s adventures. As always, thanks for listening. Scotty out |
