Let’s Start Off With the Story of the Week

A Little Something For Their Trouble

When Herb and Virginia returned from a big road trip to celebrate their retirement, they shared details with Barb, their neighbor.

“Our adventure began with a flat,” Herb explained. “When the kid fixed it, he screwed up and the wheel fell off on the freeway.”

“Then, someone stole our car from the hotel,” Virginia added. “It was used in a robbery but they got caught and we got the car back.”

“Lucky you,” Barb said.

Very lucky. We found $8,500 stashed in the trunk,” Herb said.

“Wow. How much was the reward when you returned the money?”

“What money?” Virginia smiled.

Final Reminder About This Weekend’s Appearances

As we celebrate National Independent Bookstore Day–clearly bigger than Christmas, birthdays, and the Fourth of July combined, I just want to remind the masses as to where they can find me this Saturday, April 29th. Here’s where I’ll be hanging out. If you find yourself near any of these places, please do stop by and say hi.

10:30am-1:30pm Morgan Hill (BookSmart, 421 Vineyard Town Center)

2:30pm-4:00pm San Jose (Hicklebee’s Children’s Books, 1378 Lincoln Ave.)

5:00pm-7:00pm Pleasanton (Towne Center Books, 55 Main St.)

OK, that’s it for this week. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to have more info next week on the progress of FAST FICTION Vol. 2: Man Vs. Machine. Stay tuned!
